About Me

Hello, I'm Sophie

I'm an Australian artist based in London with a deep love for colour, texture, and the beauty of everyday objects. My work sits at the intersection of art and function — because I believe that beautiful things shouldn't just hang on a wall. They should be part of your life.

How It All Began

My journey into ceramics and hand-painted trays grew from a simple belief: that the objects we surround ourselves with should bring us joy. I started painting trays as a way to bring that gallery feeling into the home — something you could admire and actually use. From there, ceramics became a natural extension of that vision. Working with clay gave me a new way to explore form, colour, and the kind of quiet beauty you find in a perfectly set table or a sun-drenched kitchen.

My Creative Process

Everything I make is handmade and hand-painted — no two pieces are ever exactly alike. I work slowly and intentionally, drawing inspiration from food, nature, and the rich colours of the world around me. Each tray is sealed to last a lifetime. Each ceramic piece is shaped, glazed, and fired with care. When you buy from me, you're buying something made with genuine love and attention.

What Makes My Work Special

Every piece is one of a kind. I don't do production runs or mass manufacturing — just small batches and individual pieces, each with its own character. Whether it's a ceramic plate with a hand-painted fig, or a tray designed to make your morning feel a little more special, my work is made to be lived with and loved.

Let's Create Something Together

If you have something specific in mind, I'd love to hear from you. I take on commissions and enjoy the process of designing a piece that's truly personal to you. Find out more about commissions here.
